OBJECTIFS :

Student Learning Outcomes At the end of the course, students should be able to • List the concepts involved in virtual reality development • Describe the devices used in virtual reality applications • Explain the graphical techniques used in virtual reality and augmented reality • Develop 3D virtual environments • Develop 3D interaction techniques • Develop immersive virtual reality applications • Develop augmented reality applications. • Communicate effectively in written and spoken forms

CONTENU DU MODULE :

1. Introduction to VR/AR and their applications

2. Input Devices: Trackers, Navigation, and Gesture Interfaces

3. Output Devices: Graphics, 3D Sound, and Multimodal displays (haptic, tactile, tangible) 4. Architectures for VR/AR: Rendering Pipeline, Graphics Architecture, Distributed Architecture

5. Modeling: Geometry, Kinematics, Physics, and Behavior

6. Programming: Toolkits, Java 3D, UNITY 3D

7. Human Factors: VR Health and Safety issues, VR and Society 8. Applications: Medicine, Education, Entertainment, Army, Manufacturing, Robotics, Information Visualization
